Well, the wedding is over and there is nothing like a potent winter storm to get me back blogging again. Walda packed quite a punch for us. The last few years we have had snowstorms that only dumped a few inches at a time (I call it being nickeled and dimed.) We received about a foot of snow out of this one (with three foot drifts.) I heard that we are only about 8 inches below our average to date with snowfall. I can’t tell you how happy this makes me because of the severe drought we are in. Anyway, here are a few pictures from winter storm Walda from my perspective here in the Casper area.
Apparently, this is just the beginning of a week full of snow chances. Good thing I haven’t put away my snow shovel yet. 🙂
Yes,snow,snow and more snow.
Winter does not want to leave this year here in Wisconsin also.
nice pictures.Wind looks cold.
Hi Linda! Hopefully we will both experience some warm weather soon.
Wow, Good thing we didn’t plan any springtime trips this year…probably in the fall. But even then, you never know if Wyoming, right. Spring will arrive. Hope the wedding went well, Kristina.
Thanks Holly! Hopefully I will have some pictures of the wedding soon.
Whoa! That’s a lotta snow! I don’t think I’d have the wherewithall to deal with snow like that from October to April. I do enjoy the South’s falls, springs, and mild winters; the hot, humid summers, not so much. Looking forward to pix of the wedding!
Looks like you’re trying out to be an honorary Canadian! 🙂 Snow melts – and if you’re still dry, a foot of snow=potential for green, so in the long run, that’s a good thing. hopefully you didn’t get hit by the nasty ice-storm/power outages that have been flying around… We are still locked in unseasonably cold temps and have magnificent piles of the white stuff to melt – they are actually planning for floods up here once it goes, digging trenches and trying to find proactive ways of directing it if it ever decides to melt. What a strange winter it has been.
Hope you’re not still getting snow there and Spring has finally arrived!
Lol! We went from snow two weeks ago to record breaking high temperatures. Talk about extremes. 🙂
