Today has been a very sad day here in my hometown of Casper, Wyoming. Our very small community was rocked with the terrible news of a homicide at our local college.
Not just one dead, but three. The incident took place at the Wold Physical Science building. Information is sketchy and we still don’t know all the details. What we do know is that a bow type weapon was used and the attacker is presumed to be one of the dead.
My daughter (who was not there during this time), her fiance (who was there and under lock down), and a couple of friends (who were there also) attend this college. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the students, faculty, and family of these victims.
I will keep this post updated as the information is still being released.

So sorry to hear about this. My husband is going to call our Bishop Kinner, who has a parish there. I think some of his members are students. Thanks for letting me know this way. Will keep everyone in our prayers.
Thanks Holly. The mood here is very somber. The kids, as well as adults, could definitely use some uplifting.
Such awful news, I am so sorry, Kristina. I don’t think there is anything more frightening than a homicide at a school, especially a school that your child attends. This kind of incident really does rock a community and everyone feels the loss. I am so glad your daughter, her fiancé, and friends are safe. My heart goes out to the families of the victims. They are in my thoughts and prayers.
Oh, that’s so sad and terrifying! Thoughts and prayers going up for the victims and their families.
Thanks TT. Hopefully, we will know more during tomorrow’s press conference.
How awful… It is hard to imagine what kind of desperation exists, to drive people to such desperate lengths – and unfathomable to imagine Christmas without your loved one because of such desperation. I’m so glad none of your family members were harmed in this tragic incident! Things like this really rock our world – and for Casper, some things will never be the same again…
