You can tell it’s springtime in the Casper area when you start to see gatherings of classic cars, trucks, and motorcycles. It really doesn’t matter what you drive up in as long as you are a gear head. Last night we went to a local food joint called Shifters. There were quite a few classic cars, muscle cars, trucks, and a few motorcycles. Many with their hoods up and windows down so you can appreciate all the hard work that goes into these beasts. A few brave souls took their cars out on the highway and burned some rubber (one even threw some sparks.) It was pretty awesome and I can’t wait to find the next gathering.
I was able to snap some photos before it became too dark. Hope you like my black and white version. It just seemed fitting with all the classic cars.
I graduated in ’69,I had a ’59 Oldsmobile 2 door hardtop. Great car!!
Awesome! They sure don’t make them like they used to. 🙂
Love seeing all those old classic cars. Looks like you had a great time there.
We did have a great time. Can’t wait until the next gathering. 🙂
I love your drive-in photos! Reminds me of growing up in Columbus, GA where we had a drive-in with roller-skating waitresses. One of my friends and her husband are on a motorcycle trip out west right now…wonder if they passed through Casper on their way to Idaho and Utah?
I hope your friends enjoyed their road trip! 🙂
That cream colored car, third from the right–’59 Chevy–I’ll never forget that rear end…mine was blue (The car, I mean…)
